We are the same, unofficial ambassadors of the wine and food from Italy who founded WineCountry.IT and, for this project, we have enlisted the help and support of SaporItalia di Cristo Lepori in Rome, Italy, as well as the management of Tour & Food Italia bilingual magazine in Florence and New York.
WineCountry.IT was founded in 2003 to promote Italian quality wine and specialty foods worldwide, while contributing to saving from extinction small productions of traditional regional products, by publishing various Italian and English informational web sites.
The online network covers various aspects of the Italian wine and food industries, providing up-to-date information to professionals in the trade, as well as informing and educating worldwide consumers about typical traditional recipes and wines from the various Italian regions.
In just a few years, WineCountry.IT has acquired a faithful audience of thousands of gaily unique visitors, in other words, over 1,000 different computers log into our server daily and call up in excess of 180,000 pages per month.
Enogastronomy however, consists of flavors and sensations, involving smell and vision in addition to taste. No description can match the direct experience when it comes to tasting food and wine. This is why we decided to launch Italian Flavor Consortium, and to organize recurring Italian Flavor Forums®, informational wholesale market events set in the San Francisco Bay Area.
