Red Wine

Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG

Region: Tuscany
Producer: Azienda Agricola Buracchi
Vintage: 2007
Grapes: 70% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese (clone) 10% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Canaiolo Nero.
Alcohol Vol.: 12.5% by Vol.
Type of wine: Dry
Bottle: 750 ml
Bottles in case: 12 bottles
Yearly production: 48,000 bottles
To US market: 7,000 bottles
Comments: Vinification is done by carbonic maceration for a period of 13 to 15 days without stems. After the monolactic fermentation is completed, around half the wine is decanted in 16.23- and 44-hectoliter (428.75 and 1,162 gallons) Slavonic oak barrels, while the other half ages in in Allier barriques and tonneaux for 18 months. The wines are then assembled and left to rest for 30 to 40 days before bottling, then the wine refines for at least two months before release.

The color is intense ruby red, and to the nose it reveals a pleasant winey, delicate scent, with hints of violets, vanilla and chocolate. In the mouth it is dry and round, with tannins softened by the aging in barrel.

Excellent with red meat, pasta dishes and wild game. It is advised to open the bottle about two hours before serving at a temperature of 18°C. (64.4° F.).

Rosso di Montepulciano DOC Rosso di Montepulciano DOC

Region: Tuscany
Producer: Azienda Agricola Buracchi
Vintage: 2008
Grapes: 90% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese clone) 10% Merlot
Alcohol Vol.: 12.5% by Vol.
Type of wine: Dry
Bottle: 750 ml
Bottles in case: 12 bottles
Yearly production: 12,000 bottles
To US market: 10,000 bottles
Comments: Vinification is done by carbonic maceration without stems for 10 days. After the monolactic fermentation is completed, the wine is decanted into 500 liter barrels where it ages for 4 to 5 months. Once bottled, the wine refines further until early September, when it is officially released on the market.

The color is ruby red with aromas of flowers and fruits. In the mouth it is dry with a slightly tannic flavor.

This table wine pairs well with the whole meal, from traditional Tuscan hors d'oeuvres, to pasta dishes and main courses based on meat and foul. Serve at room temperature letting it breathe close to an hour before pouring.

Sangiovese di Toscana IGT Sangiovese di Toscana IGT

Region: Tuscany
Producer: Azienda Agricola Buracchi
Vintage: 2008
Grapes: 95% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese clone) 5% Canaiolo Nero
Alcohol Vol.: 12% by Vol.
Type of wine: Dry
Bottle: 750 ml
Bottles in case: 12 bottles
Yearly production: 12,000 bottles
To US market: 10,000 bottles
Comments: The wine is vinified following the traditional winemaking once used to produce the Chianti Colli Senesi, known as 'Governo all'Uso Toscano'. This method consists in generating a second re-fermentation by adding more pressed grapes to the must in order to allow the release of all the sugar content which may not have been transformed into alcohol yet. Later it is decanted into outdoor stainless steels vats, so that the winter frosting precipitates tartrates. The wine is filtered before bottling and being released on the market starting the following April.

Easy drinkable wine with intense ruby red color and extraordinary flower and red fruit aroma. In the mouth it is slightly tannic .

Pairs with most dishes and it is particularly suitable with pizza.
