Comments: Made with Primitivo grapes from 10 to 30 years old vines cultivated 'a spalliera' (shoulder-style) on mostly clay soil. After maceration in temperature-controlled glass-coated cement vats until the sugar content is below 15-30 gram-per-liter at the fermentation temperature of 27°-30°C (80.6°-86°F,) the wine is left to rest partly in iron and partly in cement vats and recombined before bottling.

The wine has red color with purplish highlights, has intense, characteristic perfume and pairs naturally with Mediterranean recipes.

Comments: Primitivo vines 30 to 50 years old cultivated in sandy soil using the alberello pugliese (little Apulian tree) method, produce the grapes used for this wine. After maceration in temperature-controlled glass-coated cement vats until the sugar content is below 15-30 grams per liter at the fermentation temperature of 27°-30°C (80.6°-86°F,) the wine is stored partly in glass-coated cement vats, partly in French and American oak barriques, and partly in iron vats, assembling it before bottling.

Wild berry perfume hits the nose and it is of an intense red color. This wine is a perfect pair to Mediterranean cuisine recipes.

Comments: The Sorrento peninsula is a beautiful stretch of land of overwhelming beauty, and is a sought-after international tourist destination for thousands of people who come each year, attracted by the balmy weather and the splendid and beautiful rocky coastline.

Saint Lancerio, in his writings reminds us of how His Holiness, Pope Paul the Third, of the Farnese household, liked to drink the wine produced on the peninsula of Sorrento, "because it is a delicate drink."

This excellent, traditional quality wine is produced in a small hilly area. The color is intense ruby red, to the nose it brings aromas of red berries, and in the mouth it is round, with notes of ripe grapes and cherries.

Suggested serving temperature: 12-14°C (53.6-57.2°F)

Comments: The Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso (Refosco with the Red Stem) is an ancient native vine which produces the typical wine from Faedis, in the province of Udine. The grapes of this fertile, high production vine generate a ruby red wine with purple highlights. The nose is perfumed, intense and pleasant. Sapid, with consistent body, it is slightly tannic to the palate and perfectly balanced.

Comments: The average age of the vines is over 70 years.

Brilliant ruby red with garnet nuances. Perfume of wild berries, pomegranate, plums and herbaceous notes reminiscent of the macchia mediterranea (Mediterranean bushes). The seductive progression of perfume introduces elegant notes of leather and tobacco. It is warm, soft and enveloping to the palate. A perfect balance between acidity and tannins.

It pairs well with strong-flavored Italian salami, pasta dishes with flavorful tomato sauces, red meat roasts and game. Is excellent with lamb, the typical 'porceddu' sardo (suckling pig on a spit Sardinian-style), Fiore sardo (kind of Sardinian cheese) and other local aged pecorino cheese.

The old vines are cultivated cultivated on sandy soil very close to the water with the alberello (small tree) style, which here means less than a foot and a half tall. Each vine produces just one bunch per year. The result is a truly superior strong wine which is sure to please the connoisseur looking for a honest, fruity, palatable wine.

Open at least two hours before serving at 18°-20°C (64.4°-68°F).

Comments: The elegant Monica grape found an ideal environment in the vineyards surrounding Sorso, a unique example in the northern part of the island. In fact, Monica is typically a grape that thrives in the southern part of Sardinia.
The average age of the vine is 30 years.

Brilliant red color with purple tones, perfume intense and persistent with vegetable and spicy notes. Mellow flavor, pleasantly fresh and elegant and good tannin balance. It pairs well with lean hors d’oeuvres, goat and medium-aged sheep cheese, Sardinian-style pasta, white and roasted meats.

Comments: The grapes are first thinned twice then, during harvest, an average of three grapes out of five are chosen to make the Brunello wine according to the traditional method. After long maceration with the grape skin at the temperature of around 33ºC (91.4ºF), the wine ages for six months in small French oak barrels, then for 24 months in 17.5 hectoliters Slavonic oak barrels before bottling. Before release, the Brunello is further aged for over six months in the bottles.

The color is deep ruby red, the perfume is ethereal, with intense, complex bouquet. In the mouth it reveals strong body, good structure and balanced tannins. Pairs well with red meat, game, and aged cheese. Serve at 20°C (68°F) in wide glass.
