The Sangiovese and Merlot grapes used to make this wine grow on hilly, well ventilated calcareous soil, and are harvested between the end of September and the first half of October. The two varietals are crushed and fermented separately in iron vats at a controlled temperature then, still separated, the wines are transferred into oak barrels, where they are left to age for 12 to 20 months. The wines are blended at bottling time, then they refine six months before the first bottles are released.
Better served at 18°C. (64.4°F.), paired with rich, full-flavored recipes. In Tuscany, you may see it paired with polenta seasoned with game sauce, tortiglioni pasta with goose sauce, or roast sage pigeon. |

Highly recommended. Pairs well with red meet, game, and aged cheese. Excellent as meditation wine. Serve at 20°C (68°F) in wide mouthed glass.

The grapes are first thinned twice then, during harvest, an average of three grapes out of five are chosen to make the Brunello wine according to the traditional method. After long maceration with the grape skin at the temperature of around 33ºC (91.4ºF), the wine ages for six months in small French oak barrels, then for 24 months in 17.5 hectoliters Slavonic oak barrels before bottling. Before release, the Brunello is further aged for over six months in the bottles.
The color is deep ruby red, the perfume is ethereal, with intense, complex bouquet. In the mouth it reveals strong body, good structure and balanced tannins. Pairs well with red meat, game, and aged cheese. Serve at 20°C (6 point Wine Spectator

As it is for the regular version, the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva Canneta is obtained from grapes grown in vineyards cultivated at 400 meters (around 1,312 feet) of elevation. The difference is in the fact that the Riserva version refines for an extra 12 months, compared to the regular version, which ages for at least five years, three of which are spent in oak barrels, before the first bottles leave the winery cellar.
The color is intense ruby red, and releases hints of ripe fruits to the nose. In the mouth it is elegant and harmonious, with light tannins. It pairs perfectly to noble venison, rich, elaborate recipes, and aged cheeses. Excellent as well as meditation wine, possibly paired with quality dark chocolate, or, for the serious smoker, with a handmade cigar. |

Made with Sangiovese and a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, this wine is vinified in large vats, following the traditional local winemaking. After the malolactic fermentation, in January the wine is decanted into French oak barriques where it matures for around 16 months before being bottled.
The color is an intense crimson red with garnet highlights. In the mouth it is warm and soft, with excellent balance between tannins and acidity. This is a wine which can be aged for many years in the bottle. Excellent with grilled meat, T-bone steaks and aged cheeses. |

The Sangiovese grapes used to make this Chianti DOCG are produced from five-to-ten year old vines, and are harvested at the end of September. The wine ferments and ages in stainless steel vats.
It is limpid purply-red in color with complex, intense nose which opens with notes of red fruits such as wild berries and cherries, then expands in a delicate violet scent. In the mouth it is warm, yet fresh because of the mineral notes already suggested in the nose. The fine tannins are balanced by the acidity and body of the wine.
Pair with red meat dishes and medium-aged cheese. |

Made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes cultivated in the Podere Spicchiello (Spicchiello Farm), in the Colli Fiorentini (Florence Hills) wine zone, this wine ages for two years in the wine cellar, one of which in barriques.
The color is intense ruby red, and the perfume is full, majestic, persistent and harmonious. To the palate it is broad and velvety, with medium tannins. Serve at 18°-20°C. (64.4°-68°F.) |

Vinification is done by carbonic maceration for a period of 13 to 15 days without stems. After the monolactic fermentation is completed, around half the wine is decanted in 16.23- and 44-hectoliter (428.75 and 1,162 gallons) Slavonic oak barrels, while the other half ages in in Allier barriques and tonneaux for 18 months. The wines are then assembled and left to rest for 30 to 40 days before bottling, then the wine refines for at least two months before release.
The color is intense ruby red, and to the nose it reveals a pleasant winey, delicate scent, with hints of violets, vanilla and chocolate. In the mouth it is dry and round, with tannins softened by the aging in barrel.
Excellent with red meat, pasta dishes and wild game. It is advised to open the bottle about two hours before serving at a temperature of 18°C. (64.4° F.). |

The unusual proximity of an oak and a willow tree nearby the Terre di Nano estate was reported in historic maps of the village of Monticchiello, in Val d'Orcia, as Quercialsale. The Leonardo da Vinci sketches for the painting known as Battaglia di Anghiari which are reproduced on the label, suggest the strength and dynamism of this barrique-aged wine made with 100% Sangiovese.
A product with great character, it has a soft and enveloping flavor, whose noble tannins are well integrated in the wine structure, which shows excellent balance and persistence and it is at its best paired with red meat-based recipes.
The bottle should be uncorked one hour before serving at 18°-20°C (64.4°-68°F). |

The wine is vinified following the traditional winemaking once used to produce the Chianti Colli Senesi, known as 'Governo all'Uso Toscano'. This method consists in generating a second re-fermentation by adding more pressed grapes to the must in order to allow the release of all the sugar content which may not have been transformed into alcohol yet. Later it is decanted into outdoor stainless steels vats, so that the winter frosting precipitates tartrates. The wine is filtered before bottling and being released on the market starting the following April.
Easy drinkable wine with intense ruby red color and extraordinary flower and red fruit aroma. In the mouth it is slightly tannic .

The Sangiovese grapes used to make this blush wine are harvested in mid October and left to macerate inside the pressing machine for 24 hour before undergoing soft press. The fermentation lasts about 20 days in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature kept below 18°C. (64.4°F.), where it then ripens for three months.
The color is deep pink, thanks to the maceration with the grape skin before pressing. To the nose it is clean, intense, with strong aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, pomegranates and cherries preserved in spirit, as well as lighter floral scent of violets and wild roses. To the palate it is soft and velvety, well structured, with light tannins and good acidity. All in all, this wine offers a very good harmony between the olfactory and taste sensations.
Excellent paired with smoked fish, tagliolini pasta with cherry tomatoes and crisp red snapper, grilled vegetables and seafood, frittura mista and fresh or medium aged cheeses. |

The top wine produced by the estate is made with carefully selected grapes of Sangiovese Grosso (the variety of Sangiovese used to produce the world renowned Brunello di Montalcino), blended with with a calibrated amount of Merlot, it takes its name from the maclura pomifera tree of North American origins, one splendid, majestic specimen of which embellishes the entrance to the Terre di Nano estate.
Aged in wooden barrels with periodic passage in barriques, this wine is further aged for one year in the bottles before release. Elegant and refined, with full, harmonious body, it shows persistent notes of red berries and vanilla. The Maclura is a wine that gets better with ageing. It is particularly indicated for pairing with important red meat dishes, grilled game, and savory roasted meat. It is excellent paired with medium- and long-aged cheeses, also when these show spicy notes.
The bottle should be uncorked at least one hour before serving at 18°-20°C (64.4°-68°F). |

Wine Spectator assigned 90 points to this wine with the following comment:
"Named for the blue (Azzurro) eyes of Danilo's (the estate owner) first daughter. The wine is an excellent Baby Brunello. It comes from the same grapes, with less aging. Produced with pure Sangiovese Grosso (also known as Prugnolo Gentile, or Brunello, in the town of Montalcino, in Tuscany).
Balanced and fruity, with red currant, cherry and a hint of vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long finish. Recommended"

The Casali in Val di Chio label represent the work and ideas of two young female entrepreneurs who have brought new life to the ancient family business. As a tribute to local traditions, all the wines produced under this brand take their names from the wisdom of the Valdichiana region.
The 'Merigge' is a shady place protected from the summer heat where the peasants rest the body and the mind. The name appropriately defines this intense, round, meditation wine. made with Merlot grapes, this wine is suitable for long ageing and pairs perfectly with noble meats and game. It's also interesting paired with chocolate.

This dark ruby red wine made with 100% Merlot grapes ages for 12 months in French oak barriques, and refines for at least an extra eight months in the bottles.

The aromas typical of barrique ageing, such as vanilla, liquorice, tobacco, cocoa, cinnamon, and pink pepper hit the nose after a few minutes. In the mouth it is rather tannic at first, but mellows almost immediately, giving way to the softness typical of the Merlot. Well structured, robust, and nicely balanced. Serve at 18° to 20°C. After being pressed, the juice ages for at least three years in small 50-liter (around 13 gallons) cypress barrels called caratelli, which are then sealed with cement and kept in place subject to continuous wide temperature excursion, which facilitates the creation of the typical Vin Santo perfume and flavor.
The color is amber yellow with golden reflections. To the palate it is sweet, dry and lightly alcoholic. Excellent served at the end of the meal with baked goods, in particular the typical Tuscan biscotti known as cantucci or cantuccini. |

Made with grapes harvested during the second half of September, then left to wither for months in special shelves. The grapes are pressed when the winemaker is satisfied that the juice left is at the perfect level of sugar content, ready to start its slow transformation, which will last for years in typical caratelli barrels.
Amber colored, this meditation wine has an intense, complex nose, with notes of spices and dried fruits such as figs and plums. To the palate it is full, almost creamy, and gives the pleasant warm sensation of the perfect combination of alcohol and residue sugar. |

This traditional dessert wine renowned all over the world, it is made with Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia grapes cultivated in the Colli Fiorentini (Florence Hills) wine zone, south of Florence.
Once harvested, the grapes are laid to wither upon special mats. After crushing, the juice ferments and ages for four years in oak or chestnut caratelli (type of barrel).
The color is amber yellow and its perfume is ethereal and intense. This harmonious, velvety and sweet wine is excellent at the end of the meal, with dessert or the typical Tuscan biscotti known as Cantucci. |
